This track is from the Bells Of Zion LP "Let Me Lean On You", released in 1969. The group first recorded in 1965 with Ray Crume (others unknown), who left after the group's fourth single release in 1967. In 1968/69 the Bells recorded this LP plus two more tracks that appeared on Peackock 3135. In the group at that moment were Rev. Alvin Palmer, Robert Addison, Eddie Robinson and Ernest Robinson, probably the ones pictured on the front cover of LP 167. After a gap of c. 5 years there was another session recorded for and released on the Nashboro label (LP 7155) and that was it.
"If You Don't Want To Go" is a fine and bluesy example of their style.
The complete album is available as a CD-r (see the CD-r page).
