More details
- | This
is a soundtrack 2LP that only exists as a test pressing. It was offered
for sale on eBay in June, 2014. |
- | The
labels of this test pressing say "Music from the musical 'Alison'
taped live from P.A. system". It's a rehearsal kind of recording
that somehow ended up on this vinyl pressing. |
- | In the
eBay ad, the seller (Charles Norman) says: "In 1968 Larry wrote
songs for and performed in a Hollywood theatrical presentation called
Alison" and "not every song on this 2 LP set is written by
and sung by Larry, but several of them are". |
- | All
albums and singles mentioned in the song listing probably feature different
versions. |
- | "Blow
In My Ear And I'll Follow You Anywhere" is missing on this LP.
It was released on the one single by the Flies (1969) and the label
says it's from "Alison". |

Update! |
|
There's also a single LP version of "Alison", it was discovered in 2018, see the images below (thanks to Derek Robertsen). Songs Side 1: Side 2: * Songs marked with an asterisk seem new to this LP, so they are not on the 2LP. "Witchboard Song" as "Switchboard Song"on the 2LP, must be a typo. "Giant Man" and "In Love With Allison" are probably sung by Larry Norman. On this LP "Allison" is written with two l's.
